What is an AI receptionist?
It's a voice assistant that answers your clinic's phone. It talks to callers in natural speech, books, moves and cancels appointments in your diary, answers everyday questions and takes messages for your team.
Will patients know they're talking to an AI?
Yes. It says so at the start of every call. Most callers just want to be booked in quickly, and it does that.
Does it replace my receptionist?
No. The AI receptionist takes the calls your team can't get to, like lunchtime, busy moments and after hours, so your team can look after the people in front of them.
What if a caller wants a real person?
During opening hours it passes the call to your team. If nobody picks up, or it's after hours, it takes a message for the call-back list.
What about emergencies?
It tells callers with a real emergency to ring 112 or 999. For anything urgent it can book the first available slot or pass the call to your team.

Will it mess up my diary?
It only offers times your diary says are free, and it follows your rules for each practitioner. Every booking shows up in Front Desk straight away.
Do I need to change my phone number?
No. You keep your number and forward missed, busy and after-hours calls to the AI receptionist.
How long does setup take?
About a week once we have your details and diary access.
What happens to call recordings and data?
We process them for you under a data processing agreement and delete them after the agreed retention period.
